GCI Groups is a leading engineering and manufacturing company specializing in advanced automation solutions, precast concrete machinery, and industrial equipment. We are looking for a skilled Automation & Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of world-class automation systems.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based automation systems for industrial machinery.
Develop new electrical schematics and control panel designs using industry-standard electrical CAD software.
Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC applications, primarily using Omron automation platforms.
Collaborate with mechanical, production, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless machine integration.
Prepare technical manuals, electrical documentation, wiring diagrams, and operating instructions.
Support machine commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and engineering best practices.
Work closely with internal teams and international stakeholders on automation projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
7 to 15 years of relevant experience in industrial automation and electrical design.
Strong expertise in Omron PLCs, including Sysmac Studio and CX-Programmer.
Experience with other PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider will be an added advantage.
Hands-on experience in electrical schematic design using SPAC Automazione, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent software.
Ability to create clear and structured technical documentation and user manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, drives, HMIs, and field instrumentation.
