Principal - Cloud Computing Engineer, Chennai
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of multi-cloud solutions across Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role will serve as a technical authority, driving cloud strategy, architecture, and automation initiatives to ensure scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain enterprise-grade cloud architectures across Azure, GCP, and AWS.
Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
Implement automation frameworks using Git and Python for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.
Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
Define and enforce best practices for multi-cloud deployments, cost optimization, and governance.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain regulatory standards.
Monitor and optimize cloud environments for high availability and disaster recovery.
Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and cloud platforms.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
Influence cloud adoption strategies and roadmap planning at an enterprise level.
8+ years in cloud engineering or architecture roles.
Deep expertise in Azure, GCP, and AWS services and architectures.
Proficiency in Python and version control systems such as Git.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Solid understanding of networking, security, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
Certifications in Azure, AWS, and GCP (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
Experience with FinOps and cost optimization strategies.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
