Full Stack Engineer

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer (Java +Angular) to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend expertise in Java along with hands on experience in modern frontend frameworks like Angular. You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

This role is part of a dynamic and collaborative agile development team that builds and supports critical applications for Citi's Risk management operations. The team is focused on leveraging modern technologies, specifically the Java and Angular ecosystems, to deliver cutting-edge financial technology platforms. The successful candidate will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conception and design to implementation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using Java (with Spring Boot) for back-end services and Angular for the front-end.
● Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
● Implement robust and scalable back-end services and APIs using Java.
● Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and QA teams to define requirements and deliver high-impact features.
● Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and application stability.
● Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security.
● Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software, providing effective solutions to complex technical problems.
● Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's development processes, tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
● Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in the Java and Angular communities.
Knowledge/Experience:
Essential:
● 7 - 10 Years years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
● Proven track record of delivering complex, high-performance web applications.
● Strong, hands-on experience with the Angular framework and TypeScript.
● In-depth knowledge of Java, particularly with the Spring Boot framework.
● Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
● Expertise in building RESTful APIs and Microservices.
● Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Skills: (technical skills)
Essential:
● Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
● Expertise in Angular for front-end development.
● Expertise in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
● Strong proficiency with GitHub and control workflows.
● Solid understanding of agile develop methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
● Excellent debugging and problem-solve skills.
Desirable:
● Knowledge of performance testing and optimization techniques for both Java Angular applications.
● Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELKstack).
● Experience integrating agentic AI system into applications to automate complex tasks and workflows.
