Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role located in Karnataka, India. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, supporting payroll calculations, and assisting with monthly and annual closing. The role will require preparing basic financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and local laws. The Accountant will collaborate with operations and management to provide accurate financial data for decision-making and to improve cost control and budgeting processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in general accounting principles, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables) for financial tracking and reporting.
Knowledge of Indian taxation, GST, and statutory compliance, with the ability to prepare related documentation and filings.
Experience managing accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and basic payroll support in a commercial or retail environment.
Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organized financial documentation in a fast-paced setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are an advantage.
Prior experience in a textile, retail, or manufacturing business is beneficial but not mandatory.
