Tool Design Engineer

Job Description: Tool Designer
1. Should be able to understand Repair tooling requirements and prepare tooling concept designs, do follow-ups with various departments and be able to get customer reviews for the tooling concept designs
2. Should identify and analyze the gaps at engine/module disassembly and assembly processes to improve speed and productivity
3. Should work on to include new procedures, re-sequencing, alternate methods, tool redesign in NX CAD software or modification etc.
4. Should author paperwork, develop technical drawings and specifications
5. Should be able to work independently and responsible for own work and quality of deliverable with no supervision
6. Candidate should be agile and quickly adopt to customer business needs
Job Requirements & Qualification:
1. Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3-5 years of experience in Tool design
2. Candidate should be proficient in NX CAD software
3. Should have knowledge of Aero-engine components and MRO shop floor experience
4. Candidate should have ability to understand technical data from OEM Engine Manuals and should be familiar with engine manual disassembly and assembly procedures
5. Excellent knowledge & application of GD&T as well as Tolerance stack-up for sub-assemblies & assemblies
6. Should have strong knowledge on quality assurance Repair process planning and assembly- disassembly procedures
