About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Techvantage.ai is a technology-driven organization focused on building innovative AI-powered products and delivering AI-driven technology solutions and services. Our work spans Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Machine Learning, and Product Engineering, helping businesses solve complex real-world challenges through technology.
We are looking for high-potential early-career engineers who are passionate about Robotics and hands-on engineering and capable of building working hardware and robotic systems—not just studying the concepts.
This is a hands-on engineering role. Trainees will work on real prototyping and fabrication problems, build and ship technical deliverables, and develop their engineering capabilities through structured reviews and practical project experience.
The Role
As a Trainee Robotics Engineer, you will work as part of the engineering team on the design, prototyping, fabrication, assembly, and testing of robotic systems and related hardware.
You will be expected to take ownership of assigned deliverables, work with robotics components, 3D printers and fabrication equipment, and demonstrate measurable progress throughout the training period.
You will learn how concepts move from design → prototype → fabrication → assembly → testing → working robotic system, while developing strong engineering judgment and an understanding of the systems you build.
Key Responsibilities
Design, Prototype, and Build Robotic Systems: Assist in the design, development, assembly, and testing of robotic systems and prototypes.
Work with Robotics Hardware: Work with robotics components including motors, sensors, actuators, controllers, mechanical assemblies, and other hardware.
Operate Fabrication Equipment: Operate and work with 3D printers and other fabrication/prototyping equipment, and create, modify, and fabricate mechanical components required for robotic prototypes.
Support Design and Prototyping: Assist with 3D modelling, component design, prototyping, and fabrication, and assemble and integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components into robotic systems.
Build, Test, and Improve Solutions: Perform testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and basic maintenance of robotic systems and equipment, and assist in identifying hardware issues and implementing practical solutions.
Work with Electronics: Work with basic electronics, wiring, circuits, sensors, and motor control systems, including basic soldering and desoldering of components, wires, connectors, and PCBs.
Research and Convert Ideas into Working Prototypes: Support the development and testing of robotics experiments and proof-of-concepts, and research new robotics technologies, components, tools, and techniques.
Document and Collaborate: Maintain proper documentation of designs, experiments, test results, and modifications, and collaborate with AI, software, and hardware engineers to integrate intelligent capabilities into robotic systems.
Follow Safety Procedures: Follow safety and operational procedures while working with machinery, electrical components, and fabrication equipment.
Skill Sets & Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Diploma in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics / Robotics / AI & Robotics or a closely related discipline.
Strong academic performance with good fundamentals in mathematics, science, electronics, and robotics.
