Job Description
Role Overview :
The role will cover core fund operations, fund accounting & finance, legal & compliance coordination and regulatory reporting. The candidate should be capable of independently managing the function and coordinating with internal teams and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities :
Independently manage end-to-end fund operations of Category III AIFs, including subscriptions, investments, redemptions, distributions, transfers and other fund activities.
Oversee NAV computation, fund accounting, investor accounting, fee calculations, accruals and reconciliations.
Independently prepare and monitor fund cash-flow forecasts and expense budgets, track actuals against budgets and ensure appropriate allocation of fund expenses.
Independently prepare and coordinate monthly and year-end closing including preparation and review of financial statements and related schedules.
Coordinate with RTA, custodian, fund administrator, brokers, banks and other service providers.
Ensure timely and accurate SEBI filings and other statutory/regulatory reporting.
Coordinate with legal counsel on fund documentation, subscription documents, side letters, amendments and other legal matters.
Independently coordinate with statutory auditors, tax advisors and other professional advisors for audits, tax and financial reporting.
Monitor compliance with the PPM, fund documents, SEBI regulations, investment limits and operational controls.
Maintain operational processes, controls and compliance calendars and drive process improvements.
Candidate Profile :
CA/MBA (Finance) with strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts relevant to investment funds.
6-8 years of relevant experience in Category III AIF operations with an Asset Management Company / Investment Manager.
Strong hands-on experience in Category III AIF operations is essential.
Must have end-to-end knowledge of the AIF lifecycle and ability to independently manage fund operations.
Strong understanding of fund accounting, NAV, investor accounting, reconciliations and investment operations.
Good understanding of SEBI AIF regulations, compliance and regulatory reporting.
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
