We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Design Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for HVAC designing, planning, BOQ preparation, and technical coordination for commercial office spaces and facilities.
Job Responsibilities
HVAC Designing & Planning
Design HVAC systems for commercial offices, co-working spaces, and similar projects.
Study architectural, interior, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting drawings to understand project requirements.
Perform heat load calculations and determine cooling capacities for different areas.
Design and select suitable HVAC systems, including VRF/VRV, DX Systems, AHUs, FCUs, cassette units, ductable units, fresh air, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
Prepare HVAC layout drawings showing equipment locations, duct routing, refrigerant piping, fresh-air, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
Calculate CFM, fresh-air requirements, ventilation quantities, and exhaust airflow.
Plan equipment locations considering ceiling space, accessibility, maintenance, piping limitations, and architectural constraints.
Coordinate with architectural, interior, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and structural teams to resolve service clashes.
Optimize HVAC designs for performance, energy efficiency, cost, and space utilization.
Issue HVAC drawings and design details as per project requirements and timelines.
Provide technical support and clarification to project teams, vendors, and execution teams.
Revise HVAC designs based on site conditions, design changes, and client requirements.
Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
BOQ Preparation
Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for complete HVAC works.
Prepare material take-offs from approved HVAC drawings.
Calculate quantities for HVAC equipment, ducting, refrigerant piping, insulation, diffusers, grilles, dampers, fresh-air systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
Prepare equipment schedules and quantity calculations for indoor units, outdoor units, AHUs, FCUs, fans, and other HVAC equipment.
Include HVAC accessories, supports, insulation, controls, and installation-related materials.
Prepare system-wise BOQs based on project scope and requirements.
Review drawings and specifications to ensure all required materials and activities are covered.
Coordinate with project, procurement, commercial, and execution teams regarding HVAC scope and quantities.
Update BOQs based on design revisions, site conditions, and client modifications.
Provide technical clarification on BOQ items and quantities to support procurement and commercial teams.
Ensure BOQ accuracy and minimize quantity variations, missing materials, and unnecessary project costs.
Tools Knowledge
Autocad ,Duct sizing ,Pipe sizer ,beta ,HAP
Experience Required :
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Engineering
Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in designing and delivering commercial office spaces.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, with working knowledge of design and presentation tools such as SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong understanding of commercial design standards, space optimization, and workplace strategy.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
