Role Description The Finance Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chandigarh, India. The intern will support financial analysis for ongoing mandates, including reviewing financial statements, building basic financial models, and assisting with project funding and distressed asset evaluation. Daily responsibilities include conducting market and industry research, preparing presentations and reports, and helping compile data for M&A and IPO-related advisory work. The intern will collaborate with senior team members to organize client documentation, participate in internal discussions on deal structures, and maintain accurate records of financial information. This role offers practical exposure to end-to-end transaction processes in a fast-paced advisory environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data and draw logical conclusions.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Finance and Financial Statements, with familiarity in basic financial modeling and corporate finance concepts.
Candidates should possess Accounting skills, including understanding of ledgers, bookkeeping fundamentals, and core accounting principles.
Candidates should possess clear Communication skills, both written and verbal, to prepare reports and collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred; prior internship or project experience in financial services is an advantage.
