Your role and responsibilities
Responsible for mechanical design of MV switchgear. In charge of daily management and technical operation of the mechanical design team.
The work model for the role is: onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:
Responsible for daily management, task allocation, progress control and assessment of the mechanical design team, sort out workflow standards, and coordinate team design work to ensure efficient team operation.
Have the ability to select standard structural schemes and design non-standard schemes according to specific engineering requirements of MV switchgear. Cooperate with design institute to optimize and adjust technical solutions to match product characteristics , and professionally answer customers’ product technical questions.
Lead the new functions of MV switchgear to meet the application requirements of different industry segments. Control project risks and product costs comprehensively, and ensure all projects are delivered on schedule with qualified quality.
Coach and train new employees on professional business and design skills to improve the overall team competency. Support pre-sales technical work, complete the confirmation of product design schemes, and provide professional technical support for project negotiation.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical engineering or mechanism related.
Good knowledge of machining, familiar with material properties, clear concept of machinability and cost of designed parts with more than 8 years working experience in this field.
Good command of power system knowledge and MV switchgear technology on manufacture process and standards. Be familiar with MS word, Excel, AutoCAD, Solidworks etc.
Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral. Good communication skill.
Highly responsible, self-motivated and Willing to take on additional tasks. A very strong learning ability and pragmatic spirit.
Has a positive progressive attitude under pressure to work.
