About the Role
Valerian Consulting LLP is expanding its Housing Disrepair Team and is seeking motivated and empathetic individuals for the role of Paralegal / Legal Assistant. This client-facing role involves communicating directly with UK-based clients, assessing housing condition claims, progressing legal matters, drafting legal documentation, coordinating inspections, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures. Full training will be provided, including guidance on legal processes and the Proclaim Case Management System.
Key Responsibilities
· Engage with clients to collect relevant case details
· Evaluate housing disrepair claims against legal criteria
· Manage and maintain legal case files
· Draft legal correspondence and Letters of Claim
· Liaise with experts and coordinate inspections
· Keep clients informed throughout the legal process
· Meet case progression and performance targets
Ideal Candidate Profile
· Strong spoken and written English skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
· Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently and within a team
· Adaptable, proactive and eager to learn
· Empathetic and client-focused
· Prior legal experience preferred but not mandatory
