About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager – HR to lead and strengthen our HR function. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in HR leadership, Industrial Relations (IR), statutory compliance, talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development. The role requires a strategic HR professional capable of partnering with business leaders while ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a high-performance work culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resource Leadership
Lead and manage the complete HR function across the organization.
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Mentor and guide the HR team to achieve organizational goals.
Drive HR transformation and process improvements.
Industrial Relations (IR)
Manage Industrial Relations and maintain cordial relationships with employees and unions.
Handle disciplinary matters, domestic inquiries, and grievance redressal.
Ensure smooth handling of labor disputes and negotiations.
Liaise with labor authorities and government departments.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Lead end-to-end recruitment for all levels.
Develop manpower planning strategies.
Build employer branding initiatives.
Strengthen onboarding and induction processes.
Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations.
Oversee PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, CLRA, Factory Act, Shops & Establishments Act, Minimum Wages Act, and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate statutory inspections and audits.
Maintain statutory registers, documentation, and compliance records.
Payroll, Compensation & Benefits
Supervise payroll processing and ensure accuracy.
Manage employee compensation structures and annual salary reviews.
Administer employee benefits and welfare schemes.
Ensure compliance with taxation and statutory payroll requirements.
Performance Management
Drive performance appraisal systems.
Support succession planning and talent management initiatives.
Facilitate goal-setting and performance reviews.
Employee Engagement & Welfare
Design and implement employee engagement programs.
Organize welfare initiatives, celebrations, and recognition events.
Promote a positive workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
Rewards & Recognition
Develop and administer Rewards & Recognition programs.
Drive initiatives to improve employee motivation and retention.
Learning & Development
Identify training needs through competency assessments.
Plan and execute technical, behavioral, and leadership development programs.
Evaluate training effectiveness and employee development initiatives.
Policy Formulation & HR Governance
Draft, review, and implement HR policies and SOPs.
Ensure HR practices comply with legal and organizational standards.
Recommend improvements to HR systems and procedures.
Employee Relations & Grievance Management
Resolve employee grievances fairly and promptly.
Foster open communication between management and employees.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends.
HR Analytics & Reporting
Prepare HR MIS reports and dashboards.
Analyze HR metrics including attrition, recruitment, absenteeism, and productivity.
Present strategic HR insights to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
MBA/MSW in Human Resources, Personnel Management, or a related field.
10–15 years of progressive HR experience in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of Industrial Relations, Labor Laws, and Statutory Compliance.
Hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll, compensation & benefits, and HR operations.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in logistics, transportation, terminals, warehousing, manufacturing, or industrial organizations will be preferred.
