Role Description The Territory Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South, responsible for leading and growing the bank’s business within the assigned territory. This role oversees sales and business development activities, including achieving revenue and liability targets, expanding the customer base, and driving cross-sell of products such as loans, deposits, payments, and wealth solutions. The Territory Head manages and mentors branch and field teams, ensuring effective performance management, training, and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring key performance metrics, reviewing portfolio quality, resolving customer issues, and coordinating with product, operations, and risk teams to deliver consistent service and operational excellence. The role also involves market analysis, competitor tracking, and implementing territory-level strategies to strengthen brand presence and customer relationships.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Sales and Sales Management skills, with proven experience in achieving business targets and driving growth in banking or financial services.
Candidates should possess Account Management and relationship-building skills to manage key customers, deepen engagement, and support long-term portfolio quality.
Candidates should possess Team Management and people leadership skills, including experience in supervising field and branch teams, coaching, and performance management.
Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret business data, monitor territory performance, assess credit and risk indicators, and make data-driven decisions.
Prior experience in retail banking, branch banking, or regional/territory leadership roles is highly beneficial.
A graduate degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field is required; a postgraduate degree or MBA is an advantage.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities, familiarity with banking regulations, and comfort with digital banking tools and MIS reporting are preferred.
