Human Resources Intern - Generalist

About the Role
We are looking for a driven and responsible Human Resources Intern – Generalist to join our HR team and gain hands-on exposure across multiple areas of Human Resources, with a primary focus on Talent Acquisition.
Approximately 60% of this role will be focused on recruitment and hiring activities, while the remaining responsibilities will provide exposure to HR Operations, Employee Engagement, Onboarding, HR Documentation, and other generalist HR initiatives.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in HR and understand how different HR functions work together in a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition – Primary Focus (~60%)
Support the end-to-end recruitment process across various functions and levels.
Understand hiring requirements and prepare/update job descriptions and job postings.
Source candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, employee referrals, databases, and other relevant channels.
Review and screen resumes based on defined job requirements.
Conduct initial candidate outreach and coordinate interview schedules.
Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and ensure a positive candidate experience.
Maintain and regularly update the candidate pipeline and recruitment trackers.
Coordinate with hiring managers and interviewers for interview scheduling and feedback collection.
Follow up on interview feedback and ensure timely movement of candidates through the hiring process.
Assist with offer coordination, documentation, and pre-joining activities.
Maintain accurate recruitment records and generate basic hiring reports when required.
Support campus hiring, walk-in drives, recruitment campaigns, and other TA initiatives as needed.
2. HR Operations & Administration (~15%)
Assist with maintaining employee records and HR documentation.
Support onboarding and joining formalities for new employees.
Assist with employee documentation, HR trackers, and routine HR processes.
Support attendance, leave, and other employee-related HR activities.
Ensure HR records and databases are updated accurately and on time.
Assist with preparing HR reports, MIS, and other routine documentation.
3. Employee Engagement & HR Initiatives (~10%)
Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement activities and events.
Support internal HR communications and employee initiatives.
Help conduct employee surveys, feedback initiatives, and HR programs.
Assist in organizing team activities, celebrations, and employee engagement programs.
4. Performance Management & Employee Lifecycle Support (~5%)
Assist the HR team with performance management processes and related documentation.
Support periodic employee review and feedback activities.
Assist with employee lifecycle processes such as transfers, role changes, confirmations, and exits.
Maintain relevant trackers and documentation as required.
5. HR Projects & Generalist Support (~10%)
Support the HR team on ongoing HR projects and process improvements.
Assist with developing and maintaining HR policies, templates, forms, and process documentation.
Conduct basic HR research and benchmarking when required.
Support audits, compliance-related documentation, and HR data preparation.
Take ownership of assigned HR tasks and projects and ensure timely completion.
Provide general HR support across functions based on business requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Strong interest in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
Comfortable interacting with candidates, employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets, MS Office/Google Workspace, and willingness to learn HR tools and systems.
A proactive, dependable, and positive approach to work.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee and candidate information.
