Assistant Fashion Designer

Role Description The Assistant Fashion Designer will support the design team in creating and developing collections that reflect Kasya.in’s aesthetic and values. This full-time, on-site role in Jaipur involves assisting with sketching designs, selecting fabrics and trims, coordinating embroidery details, and preparing samples for fittings. The role includes collaborating with pattern makers and production teams, maintaining design documentation, and ensuring that garments meet quality and fit standards. The Assistant Fashion Designer will also help with mood boards, trend research, and organizing materials and samples to support efficient collection development.
Qualifications
Strong foundational skills in Fashion Design and a clear understanding of Fashion trends and silhouettes.
Hands-on experience or training in Embroidery techniques and embellishment detailing.
Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric types, drape, and suitability for different garment styles.
Competence in Fitting, with the ability to assess garment fit and suggest adjustments for comfort and style.
Relevant education in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Attention to detail, good visual sense, and the ability to follow brand guidelines.
Basic proficiency in design tools (manual sketching and/or digital design software) is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Jaipur, collaborate within a team, and manage tasks to meet production timelines.
