Civil and Structural Designer

Role Description This full-time, on-site Civil and Structural Designer role is based in Tiruchirappalli. The designer will develop civil and structural design drawings and models, prepare calculations, and produce detailed construction documentation for oil and gas ( onshore/ offshore), industrial, refinery, and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with engineering teams to interpret project requirements, designing steel and concrete structures, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves reviewing designs for accuracy, coordinating with other disciplines, and supporting design revisions based on client and site feedback. The designer will also assist in technical reports, material take-offs, and support project execution from concept through to construction.
Qualifications
Mechanical/Civil engineering design skills with a strong foundation in Civil Engineering fundamentals.
Structural Engineering expertise, including experience with steel and concrete structures.
Experience working on projects related to Refineries or similar industrial facilities.
Ability to design and detail Steel Structures for industrial and infrastructure applications.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, ETABS or similar tools).
Knowledge of national and international design codes and standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical drawing interpretation skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
