Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Bengaluru. The Chartered Accountant will handle statutory and tax audits, prepare and review financial statements, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
Preparation of local GAAP financial statements, including roll forward schedules.
Drafting and reviewing disclosures (PPE, commitments, accruals, prepayments, and other notes to financial statements).
Preparing audit schedules for external and internal audits.
Supporting audit requests and ensuring appropriate documentation is provided to auditors.
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, including equity accounts.
Investigating reconciling items and coordinating timely resolution.
Ensuring adherence to internal control standards (SOX) and corporate policies.
Preparing CBS statistical information.
Oversight of VAT compliance and plastic tax reporting.
Supporting income tax preparations.
Assisting in quarter, month, and year-end closing activities.
Reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and other deliverables prepared by junior accountants/analysts to ensure accuracy and compliance
Qualifications & Skills
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
4–8 years of relevant experience in GL accounting and statutory reporting (UKGAAP/EMEA GAAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Proficient in accounting systems and financial software such as SAP, Power BI, CoStar, etc.
Strong knowledge of audit processes, reconciliations, and internal controls (SOX).
Experience in VAT compliance, tax reporting, and statutory disclosures.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
