Forever Distillery is an integrated distillery and spirits manufacturing company headquartered in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, operating a 200 KLPD multi-feed distillery along with carbon capture and utilization systems in Deoria, Eastern Uttar Pradesh since 2020. Our distillery processes both grain and molasses to produce Ethanol, Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), and related by-products. We're also involved in bottling and marketing country liquor as well as IMFL for our own brands along with leading industry players such as Radico Khaitan and Allied Blenders and Distillers. Forever Distillery is part of Forever Group who also operate Forever Global Enterprises Limited, a 9,000 TCD sugar mill and 23MW cogeneration unit in Meerganj, Western Uttar Pradesh.
About the role
The Head of HR & Administration will lead the end-to-end people and administrative functions for our distillery in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. This role requires a hands-on HR leader who can balance strategy with execution- building strong workforce systems while ensuring seamless plant operations, compliance, and industrial harmony.
Your responsibilities
Own end-to-end HR for plant operations—translate business targets into hiring, workforce planning, and org structure
Drive manpower efficiency across shifts, contract labor, and permanent workforce
Lead all hiring for plant and support roles; build strong on-ground talent pipelines
Anchor Industrial Relations (IR)—manage union interactions, negotiations, and grievances to ensure zero disruption
Ensure 100% statutory compliance (Factories Act, ID Act, CLRA, PF, ESIC, etc.) and maintain audit readiness
Act as primary interface with government authorities and inspectors
Run performance management alongside senior leadership—implement KRAs/KPIs, appraisals, and productivity tracking for plant teams
Build capability on the floor—drive training and develop second-line leadership
Own payroll and compliance execution—accurate, timely processing with zero leakage or delays
Oversee compensation structures aligned to market and internal parity
Lead plant administration—security, canteen, transport, housing, and facilities with strong cost control
Drive safety, workforce discipline, and engagement for a stable, motivated, and efficient workforce
Standardize HR processes and systems—policies, SOPs, HRMS, and reporting dashboards
Qualifications
Experience: ~8–12 years in HR & Administration, preferably in manufacturing, distillery, FMCG, or heavy industry
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or related field
Strong network within the distillery workforce in Uttar Pradesh and ability to be proactive in attracting top talent
Comfortable with using LinkedIn and other online hiring platforms
Proven ability to manage plant workforce including contract labor
Strong experience in Industrial Relations and labor law compliance
Experience working in regulated environments is highly preferred
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
