Position Overview
We are looking for a Service Engineer responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining electronic and IT products. The role involves both workshop-based repairs and onsite service calls, with accurate documentation and system updates through CRM.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs
1. Product Entry Level Screening (ELS)
Perform Entry Level Screening (ELS) of products received for service.
Identify visible and functional issues during initial inspection.
Follow defined ELS procedures and service guidelines.
2. Fault Finding & Diagnosis
Diagnose faults in electronic and IT products using appropriate testing methods and tools.
Identify defective components, parts, or assemblies.
Determine the root cause of product failure before initiating repairs
3. Product Repair
Repair electronic and IT products as per the prescribed ELS and repair process.
Replace defective components/parts as required.
Ensure proper handling of products, tools, and components during repair.
Complete repairs within defined turnaround time (TAT).
4. CRM & Service Process
Record and update product/service details accurately in the CRM.
Consume and record replacement parts through CRM.
Perform AWP login through CRM as per the defined process.
Update the CRM once the repair is completed.
Maintain accurate service records and repair history.
5. Quality Check
Conduct a Quality Check (QC) after completing every repair.
Verify that the product is functioning as per required specifications.
Ensure the repaired product meets defined quality standards before dispatch or closure.
6. Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory of service parts and products.
Conduct regular physical stock verification against system records.
Ensure proper consumption and accounting of spare parts.
Report discrepancies in physical stock versus system inventory.
7. Onsite Service Calls
Attend onsite customer service calls for product diagnosis and repair.
Understand the customer's issue and perform necessary troubleshooting.
Repair the product onsite wherever feasible.
Close service calls in the CRM after successful resolution.
Maintain professional communication and customer service standards.
8. Safety & Process Compliance
Follow company SOPs, service procedures, and safety guidelines.
Handle electronic components and equipment carefully.
Maintain a clean and organized repair/work area.
Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to the concerned senior/team.
Desired Skills
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of electronics and IT products.
Hands-on experience in electronic product repair.
Ability to read and understand basic circuit diagrams and technical specifications.
Good knowledge of electronic components and their functions.
Basic computer and CRM knowledge.
Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Ability to manage spare parts and inventory.
Good customer handling and communication skills.
Ability to work independently during onsite service calls.
Problem-solving and analytical ability.
Willingness to travel for onsite service requirements.
Educational Qualification
Diploma in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electrical & Electronics
Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and hands-on repair experience may also be considered.
Experience
0–3 years of experience in electronics repair, IT product servicing, consumer electronics, or a related technical service environment.
Freshers with strong practical knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting may also be considered for an entry-level position.
