About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on HR professional who can own the entire employee journey from hiring and onboarding to culture, engagement, performance, compliance and exits.
This is a builder’s role for someone who can create strong HR systems while also building a high-performance, positive and people-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Hiring
Own end-to-end recruitment across functions.
Understand manpower requirements and work closely with business heads.
Manage sourcing, screening, interviews, offers and closures.
Build a strong talent pipeline and improve hiring TAT.
2. Onboarding & Employee Experience
Ensure a structured and engaging onboarding experience.
Manage documentation, induction and employee orientation.
Ensure employees have a smooth experience throughout their initial journey.
3. Culture & Employee Engagement
Build and strengthen a high-performance, ownership-driven company culture.
Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, events and activities.
Drive regular employee connect programs, town halls, celebrations and recognition initiatives.
Build a culture of transparency, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Develop employee recognition and rewards programs.
Regularly understand employee sentiment through feedback, surveys and one-on-one interactions.
Work with leadership to strengthen communication and alignment across teams.
Create initiatives that improve employee morale, retention and overall employee experience.
4. Payroll & HR Operations
Own monthly payroll, attendance, leave and employee records.
Coordinate with finance/payroll partners for accurate and timely salary processing.
Manage HR documentation, confirmations, transfers and other employee lifecycle processes.
5. Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
Manage PF, ESIC, PT, TDS coordination and other applicable compliances.
Maintain statutory records and ensure timely filings.
6. HR Policies & Processes
Create, implement and continuously improve HR policies and SOPs.
Build scalable HR systems and processes as the organisation grows.
Ensure policies are clearly communicated and consistently implemented.
7. Performance Management
Own the complete performance management cycle.
Drive goal setting, KRAs/KPIs, performance reviews and appraisals.
Work with managers on performance improvement plans.
Build a culture of measurable performance and accountability.
8. Employee Relations & HR Operations
Act as a trusted HR partner for employees and managers.
Handle grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace concerns.
Maintain a healthy and professional work environment.
9. Exits & Full & Final
Manage the complete employee exit process.
Conduct exit interviews and identify trends.
Coordinate clearance, full & final settlements, experience letters and exit documentation.
10. HR Audits & MIS
Ensure HR records and processes remain audit-ready.
Conduct periodic HR process audits.
Track and report key HR metrics including hiring, attrition, attendance, engagement and employee costs.
11. Training & Development
Identify training needs across teams in consultation with functional heads.
Develop and execute induction and role-specific training programs.
Drive continuous learning and upskilling initiatives for employees.
Organise training on functional skills, communication, leadership, compliance and company processes.
Build structured training calendars and track participation and effectiveness.
Work with managers to identify skill gaps and create individual development plans.
Measure training outcomes through feedback, assessments and performance improvement.
Develop internal knowledge-sharing and mentorship programs.
What We Are Looking For
5–8 years of experience in HR, preferably in a startup, high-growth or operations-led organisation.
Strong experience across the complete HR lifecycle.
Hands-on knowledge of hiring, onboarding, payroll, compliance, HR operations, performance management and employee exits.
Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliances.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ownership and problem-solving ability.
Someone who can build systems from scratch and execute them hands-on.
Passionate about people,* culture and employee experience.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with 6 days working.
