We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President, Group Chief Control Oversight
In This Role, You Will
Independently Lead Walkthrough Meetings with Process Owners, along with In-country controls Team & PWC Auditors.
Strong Knowledge in Business Functions for the various Business Areas in HSBC.
Ability to understand the Process, Polices & Procedures to Assess the Effectiveness of SOX controls.
Adhere to the ICMP (Internal Controls Monitoring Plan) and work closely with the In-country Controls Team.
Understanding various Systems and their Functionality which are used by the Business Areas and are Under Scope of SOX Controls.
Preparation of critical Month end deliverables, SOX testing and highlighting of issues to business partner / management.
Assessing the overall control environment and creating awareness across teams and levels with a view to managing operational incidents and ensuring compliance with Global standards
Evaluate the risk and control assessment for key processes to ensure that risks and underline controls are adequately identified and assessed
Support adequacy of framework around SOX controls
To Be Successful You Will
CA/MBA with more than six years of post-qualification experience or B.Com/Graduate with more than 8 years of relevant post qualification experience in a leading accounting firms / financial services sector.
Experience of handling stakeholders and managing SLA’s.
Strong risk and control experience as a first line/second line of defence.
Experience in performing risk and control assessments, conducting risk committees and managing SOX framework is recommended
Experience of interacting with auditors / performing audits would be preferred
Knowledge of finance functions such as accounting, reconciliation and reporting in the financial services sector is essential
Understanding of SOX, operational risk and COSO frameworks is essential
