About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and analytically strong individual to join our Investment Product Research team.
The role will involve researching, analysing and evaluating a wide range of investment products and providing insights that support our wealth management and investment distribution activities.
The candidate will gain exposure to Mutual Funds, SIFs, PMS, AIFs, GIFT City products, fixed income and other investment opportunities, with the scope of the role expanding into broader capital markets and securities over time.
The position can be structured as an internship or full-time opportunity depending on the candidate's experience, skills and overall fit.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed research and analysis of Mutual Funds, SIFs, PMS, AIFs, GIFT City products, fixed income and other investment products.
Evaluate and compare investment products based on performance, risk, portfolio positioning, investment strategy, fund/portfolio manager track record, fees and other relevant parameters.
Analyse fund portfolios, holdings, asset allocation and portfolio changes over time.
Research and evaluate fund managers, investment teams and underlying investment strategies.
Conduct product and manager due diligence to support the firm's investment-product selection process.
Identify and research new investment products and opportunities for potential inclusion in the firm's product offering.
Prepare investment notes, product comparisons, research reports, presentations and internal analysis.
Monitor performance and key developments across existing investment products and managers.
Track market developments, economic trends and industry developments relevant to the firm's investment offerings.
Work closely with the wealth management and sales teams to provide product insights and support client discussions.
Maintain and update internal product databases, research trackers and comparison models.
Assist in preparing investment-related content and materials for clients and internal use.
Use AI tools and technology to improve research, data analysis, information gathering and workflow efficiency.
Independently verify and critically assess information obtained through AI and other research sources.
Over time, develop exposure to equities, debt, securities and broader capital-market products.
What We're Looking For
Graduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business or a related field.
Strong interest in investments, financial markets and investment products.
Fresh graduates with strong analytical and research capabilities are welcome to apply.
Prior experience in investment research, wealth management, mutual fund distribution, AMC, PMS, AIF, family office or financial services will be an advantage.
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good understanding of financial markets and investment concepts.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, including the ability to analyse financial data, build comparison models and conduct investment/product analysis.
Hands-on experience with financial databases and research platforms is a must.
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint is a must, with the ability to create clear, professional investment presentations and research material.
Practical experience using AI tools is a must, particularly for financial research, data analysis, information gathering, summarisation and productivity.
Ability to use AI effectively while independently verifying information and applying sound analytical judgment.
Ability to analyse large amounts of information and present findings clearly and concisely.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to independently research, compare and form views on investment products.
NISM certifications are preferred; candidates should be willing to pursue relevant certifications where applicable.
