Embedded Software Quality Engineer (Automotive)

Job Objective
To ensure automotive embedded software products meet quality, safety, reliability, and compliance requirements through effective quality assurance, verification & validation, process compliance, and continuous improvement practices.
Position Summary
The Embedded Software Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, reliability, and compliance of automotive embedded software throughout the product development lifecycle. The role supports software projects by driving verification and validation activities, monitoring process compliance, ensuring adherence to Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), ISO 26262, and cybersecurity requirements, and promoting a zero-defect culture.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434 and organizational development processes.
Review software requirements, architecture, design, code, test artifacts, and release deliverables.
Define and monitor software quality plans, metrics, and quality objectives.
Perform/Support software verification and validation activities, including Unit, Integration, Qualification, and System Testing.
Ensure bidirectional traceability between requirements, design, implementation, and test cases.
Analyze defects, drive root cause analysis, and monitor corrective/preventive actions.
Support HIL, SIL, MIL, and vehicle-level testing.
Participate in internal/external assessments, audits, and customer reviews.
Collaborate with Software, Systems, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and Test teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and quality best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor/master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related engineering discipline.
3-10 years of experience in automotive embedded software development, testing, and quality assurance.
