Role Description
The Jewellery Designer role at Navratan Gemstones is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur. The Jewellery Designer will create original jewellery concepts inspired by Navratan’s gemstone collections, translating ideas into detailed sketches, CAD models, and technical specifications. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with gemstone experts and product teams, developing design themes and collections, preparing design boards, and refining prototypes based on feedback. The role also involves ensuring designs are practical for manufacturing, aligned with brand aesthetics, and appealing to target customer segments. The Jewellery Designer will participate in design reviews, maintain an organised portfolio of designs, and stay current with trends in fashion jewellery and fine gemstone jewellery.
Qualifications
Strong Jewellery Design and Fashion Jewellery skills, with the ability to create market-ready collections.
Proficiency in Drawing and Product Design to translate concepts into precise, production-ready designs.
Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for jewellery, such as Rhino, Matrix, or equivalent software.
Understanding of gemstones, metals, and manufacturing processes, including setting techniques and material constraints.
Relevant diploma or degree in Jewellery Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and the ability to work on-site in Jaipur in a collaborative team environment.
Prior experience in a jewellery studio, brand, or manufacturing setup is preferred but not mandatory.
