Systems & Operations Engineer I

Collects basic system requirements for technology solutions to ensure a clear understanding of initial system needs. Acquires basic knowledge in systems engineering under close supervision to contribute effectively to projects. Designs basic foundational system elements in order to contribute effectively to the early stages of system design. Analyzes basic system functions to identify basic areas for system function improvement. Compiles basic system data for analysis to create a repository of initial system information for use across the department. Advises in less complex system-related issues in order to offer support in resolving basic system challenges. Arranges internal communications related to basic system updates or issues to ensure internal awareness of system-related matters. Estimates costs for system components or tasks, providing a basis of initial cost approximations for system-related activities. Drafts initial system documentation and reports to provide guidance on elementary system components.
Entry-level technical role involving defined tasks under regular supervision. The work supports broader departmental goals by improving workflows, techniques, and processes. Responsibilities involve analyzing data, identifying patterns, and applying innovative thinking to solve problems. Communication is primarily internal and is expected to explain and interpretate data accordingly. May work independently on smaller assignments or assist with components of larger projects. A strong educational background or equivalent experience in a relevant field is expected.
