Section 2 : Job Purpose

To Supervise & maintain all activities related to Transportation of Finished goods, ensure proper delivery of goods to customer within specified time.To ensure smooth functioning of transport activities & arrangement of trucks whenever required.
Logistics
Handling Insurance claim, & data of any accidents that take place in transportation
Checking and clearance of transporters bills for extra charges like detention , height , open market debit etc
Amendments of orders in coordination with sales and ISD
Periodical freight market survey in open truck market
Section 3: Areas of Responsibility

Key Responsibilities/KRAs
Monitoring the cost control activities for minimizing the costs incurred on various activities of transport e.g.. Freight, reverse logistics , racks management
Providing safe working environment by ensuring regular use of PPE at work place
Transportation Management
Co-ordinating Daily with Zonal head /Sales person / Customer and act as single point of contact .
Following up daily with transporter for dispatch within 24 hrs.
handling all types of transit issues faced by transporters during delivery at customer end .
ensure material reach customer end in sound condition
Quality
Prepair monthly transporter performance report for reviewing their performance
Updating price, freight & new transporter for both plant as an when any changes take place.
Manpower Development &Improvement
Identifying Training needs of the sub-ordinate for improving his skills & Knowledge.
Periodical training of transporter for safe unloading as per SOP .
Implementing new techniques of operation to control cost and improve loading standards. Cost saving kaizens .
