Role Description The Consultant Critical Care will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and other high-dependency areas in the hospital. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing and managing critically ill patients, making evidence-based treatment decisions, performing and supervising necessary procedures, and coordinating care with other specialists and nursing staff. The role involves monitoring patient progress, participating in multidisciplinary ward rounds, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. The consultant will contribute to quality improvement, infection control, and patient safety initiatives, while supporting training and guidance for junior doctors and nursing teams. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Siliguri.
Qualifications
DM/DrNB
Strong clinical expertise in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of critically ill patients.
Valid medical registration and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Strong communication skills, ethical clinical judgment, and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Prior experience in a multispecialty or tertiary care hospital ICU setting is highly beneficial.
