Special Educator

This is a full-time role for a Special Educator/Autism Interventionist in our Family Resource Center in Baner, Pune.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, implementing, and documenting Special Education services for children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized intervention plans, and monitoring progress toward achieving functional and measurable goals. You will also collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, educate caregivers and family members, and maintain accurate clinical records.
Position Summary:
Saamarthya is looking for a dynamic candidate for the position of Program Manager who will be responsible for:
a) implementing our social-emotional skills curriculum (LEND toolkit) in elementary schools
b) providing 1:1 and group intervention sessions to children with ASD and developmental disabilities
c) parent training (virtual and in-person)
Qualifications and Skills Required:
a) Minimum Qualification- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (psychology, social work, occupational therapy, speech therapy).
b) Experience in working with children with ASD and other developmental disabilities.
c) Demonstrated abilities in teaching children in a virtual environment.
d) Strong communication skills.
e) Demonstrated organizational ability and attention to detail.
f) Ability to work independently while contributing to an overall team effort.
g) Fluency in Hindi and/or English. Fluency in Marathi and other regional languages is a plus.
