Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.35660)
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation. Position requires:
1. Kubernetes and Open-Source Contribution: Helm, Containerd, and Kubernetes SIGs Contributor;
2. Containerization Technologies: Docker, containers, Virtualization, container signing, and SBOM;
3. Cloud services: Azure;
4. Container Networking: CNI, Host networking, and Calico;
5. DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines: Jenkins, Git, Terraform.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
