About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We're looking for a Senior AI Application Engineer (.NET) to design, build, and scale intelligent enterprise applications powered by modern AI technologies. This role is ideal for an experienced C#/.NET software engineer who has applied technologies such as LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search, and AI agents to solve real-world business challenges.
You'll develop secure, scalable, production-ready solutions that enhance search experiences, automate complex workflows, and unlock knowledge across enterprise systems. Rather than building foundational AI models, you'll focus on integrating and operationalizing AI within enterprise-grade applications, transforming emerging technologies into impactful solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain AI-powered enterprise applications using C#, .NET, cloud-native technologies, and LLMs.
Develop and optimize RAG-based solutions using enterprise data, embeddings, and vector search to enable relevant, context-aware experiences.
Integrate AI capabilities through AWS Bedrock or similar platforms, including prompt engineering, guardrails, and safety controls that improve quality and reliability.
Build conversational and agentic experiences that coordinate tools, functions, and multi-step reasoning, including MCP tools, functions, and server integrations.
Partner with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, maintainable AI systems and establish strong evaluation, observability, and monitoring practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong programming and system design skills in .NET or Java with experience building APIs and cloud-native backend services.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET.
Strong hands-on experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and cloud AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock or equivalent.
Experience designing agentic workflows, integrating MCP tools and servers, and building AI experiences for chat or conversational user interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications
Have a strong background building enterprise applications with C# and .NET.
Have recently incorporated AI capabilities into existing products, platforms, or workflows.
Are comfortable moving between architecture, hands-on development, integration, and production support.
Enjoy solving practical business problems with technology rather than building experimental proofs of concept.
Can balance software engineering best practices with the rapid pace of emerging AI technologies.
