Product Manager, Loyalty ANZ
The Loyalty team within International Card Services (ICS) is responsible for managing and optimising Membership Rewards, a market-leading rewards program that supports new Card acquisition, engages and retains Card Members, and contributes to profitable growth.
The Product Manager, Loyalty plays a central role in delivering and optimising loyalty initiatives across the Membership Rewards ecosystem, with a focus on UX and capability uplift, partner onboarding and uplifts, redemption innovation, customer experience and operational governance.
The role will support a broad portfolio of initiatives across Loyalty UX and capability uplifts along with focus on broader Product initiatives that require capability and program management expertise in order to successfully deliver to ICS strategic goals.
This position is suited to a motivated self-starter who can combine structured project management, analytical problem solving, customer and commercial thinking, and strong stakeholder leadership to deliver outcomes in a fast-paced, highly governed environment.
A Typical Day in This Role Could Look Like:
Drive UX and capability initiatives, keeping requirements, testing, communications and launch readiness on track.
Partner across Product, Marketing, Technology, governance, COE and other stakeholders to resolve issues, manage risks and support decisions.
Review performance and customer insights to shape recommendations and future loyalty priorities.
Support partner launches, campaigns, exits and decommissions with strong governance, communications and risk management.
To Be Successful in This Position You Will Require:
Strong project management and execution discipline, with experience delivering complex cross-functional initiatives from discovery to launch.
Confident stakeholder manager and communicator, able to influence across Enterprise, COE, technology, partner, compliance and market teams.
Analytical, commercial and customer-focused mindset, with the ability to turn data and insights into strategic recommendations.
Curious mindset to continually monitor market and industry innovation and leverage insights to drive the innovation agenda both locally and with the COE.
Strong governance and risk mindset, with attention to controls, documentation, approvals, testing, communications and issue management.
Flexible, self-starting team player who can adapt to shifting priorities, work independently and stay positive through ambiguity.
It Will Be Advantageous to Have:
Experience with loyalty programs, Membership Rewards, redemption economics, customer engagement, digital platforms and partner management.
Experience delivering UX or capability initiatives, including discovery, requirements, testing, launch readiness and communications.
Knowledge of Amex products, systems, controls, compliance, operational processes and issue/event management.
Exposure to partner onboarding/exits, decommissions, bonus campaigns, cross-market launches, COE delivery or emerging loyalty, payments, AI and digital trends.
Key Accountabilities:
This role reports to the Director, Loyalty based in Sydney.
Lead priority Membership Rewards & relevant Product initiatives across UX, digital, partner, program, governance and operational deliverables.
Manage multi-stream delivery, including milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, testing, launch readiness and post-launch activities.
Shape future loyalty priorities using customer, market, competitor, commercial and program performance insights.
Support partner and redemption launches, migrations, exits and decommissions with strong customer experience, governance and risk management.
Build trusted Enterprise relationships and contribute to a collaborative, flexible Loyalty team culture.
Lead direct reports with a keen focus on supporting development priorities and driving high performance output.
As part of a small and dynamic team, responsibilities may evolve over time in line with business priorities. Team members are expected to demonstrate flexibility and collaborate across the broader Loyalty and Product function to support team objectives and deliver business outcomes.
