Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time position based in Bengaluru, operating in a hybrid model that combines office work with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves leading electrical design activities, preparing and reviewing drawings and schematics, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. The engineer will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support project planning, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. Typical responsibilities include load calculation, equipment selection, layout design, and participation in design reviews and client meetings. The role also requires supporting quality assurance processes, addressing technical queries during construction, and contributing to continuous improvement of design practices and tools.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in electrical design for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and layout development.
Proficiency in relevant design and drafting tools (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and familiarity with electrical modeling or analysis software.
Solid understanding of national and international electrical codes and standards, and experience applying them in practical design solutions.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor junior team members, and coordinate effectively with cross-functional engineering and project management teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear design documentation, reports, and client correspondence.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
Relevant industry experience in a senior or lead electrical design role; exposure to international projects or multi-location teams is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail, with a commitment to safety, quality, and meeting project deadlines.
