Job Summary
CGI is looking for a skilled AEM Frontend Developer with 5+ years of frontend development experience, including at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AEM component development and modern frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, along with experience building responsive, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences.
The candidate will work closely with UX/UI designers, backend developers, architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality AEM-based web solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance AEM-based websites and digital experiences.
Develop reusable and scalable frontend components following AEM best practices.
Build responsive, mobile-first, and cross-browser compatible web applications.
Integrate frontend components with AEM Templates, Editable Templates, Content Fragments, and Experience Fragments.
Develop and customize AEM Core Components and Client Libraries (Clientlibs).
Work with HTL (Sightly) for AEM component development.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to convert designs into pixel-perfect frontend implementations.
Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and GraphQL services.
Develop and support AEM Headless implementations where required.
Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards.
Optimize applications for performance, SEO, page-load speed, and scalability.
Participate in code reviews and follow coding and development best practices.
Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD, build, and deployment activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve frontend and AEM-related production issues.
Work effectively within Agile/Scrum development teams.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of overall frontend development experience.
3+ years of hands-on AEM development experience.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
