Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandigarh, India. This role is responsible for acquiring new customers and business partners, developing and managing relationships with distributors, financial consultants, and corporate clients, and promoting HDFC Life’s insurance products and solutions. The Business Development Manager will identify market opportunities, drive sales targets, conduct presentations, and support partners with product training and sales enablement. The role involves monitoring market trends, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies, preparing regular performance reports, and collaborating with internal teams to improve customer experience and product reach.
Qualifications
Strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Knowledge of insurance or financial services, including understanding of protection, savings, investment, and retirement products.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities to engage with customers and business partners.
Ability to analyze market data, identify opportunities, and develop practical growth strategies.
Good organizational and time-management skills, with capability to handle multiple accounts and initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant certifications in insurance or sales are an advantage.
Prior experience in sales or business development, preferably in insurance, banking, or financial services.
Comfort working in a target-driven environment and readiness to travel locally for client and partner meetings as required.
