As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Engineering team, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline.
Job responsibilities
Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate monitoring and capacity analysis and documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements
Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches to identify recurring capacity risks and improve remediation workflows, ensuring changes are validated and aligned to resiliency and security expectations.
Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts, plus 3+ years of applied experience
Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation; escalate when uncertain; ensure outcomes meet resiliency, security, and auditability expectations
Operating knowledge in one or more infrastructure engineering areas (e.g., software-defined networks/zero-touch provisioning, SD-WAN, fabric switching, Wi‑Fi, network security technologies and practices)
Proficiency in network infrastructure technologies and relevant programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible)
Broad technical knowledge across multiple domains
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with wired/wireless LAN/BGP WAN/SD-WAN and 802.1x technologies from vendors including Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Fortinet, and Forescout
Exhibits a growing initiative and the ability to manage assigned tasks efficiently, seeking guidance when needed and showing a willingness to find solutions and contribute to improvements with some supervision
Demonstrates strong communication skills, conveying ideas and challenges with clarity and precision to support understanding and effective collaboration
