Software Engineer II
Job Overview:
Provides support for front-end applications through UI/UX design, development, implementation, and delivery of responsive web solutions. Works with modern frameworks such as Angular to build scalable, high-performance user interfaces aligned with business and customer needs. Researches and evaluates emerging frontend technologies to enhance user experience.
Major Accountabilities:
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining front-end applications using Angular, adhering to organizational standards, processes, and best practices.
Develop high-quality, responsive, accessible, and scalable UI components and applications based on technical requirements, design artifacts, and UX guidelines within expected timelines and budget.
Collaborate with UX designers, backend developers, and product teams to translate business requirements into intuitive and interactive user interfaces.
Research, create, and evaluate technical solution alternatives for UI development using current and emerging frontend technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Perform feasibility studies, UI prototyping, and analysis of user journeys, ensuring optimal performance, usability, and accessibility compliance.
Work with project teams to meet scheduled delivery timelines, identify UI/UX issues early, recommend solutions, and independently execute assigned tasks. Support production issues related to frontend applications and participate in on-call support rotation if required.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and performance optimization of applications.
Document UI components, workflows, and code per Software Development and UI Engineering Best Practices. Follow organizational Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
Assist senior team members in enhancing documentation templates, UI component libraries, and design systems as per project and technology requirements.
Contribute ideas to improve frontend standards, reusable components, and overall development efficiency.
Support collection and reporting of UI performance metrics, usability insights, and project progress.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Design Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge / Experience:
Strong understanding of Software Engineering concepts with focus on frontend/UI development.
Hands-on experience with Angular (versions 8+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks.
Familiarity with component-based architecture, responsive design principles, and UI performance optimization techniques.
Knowledge of REST APIs integration and working with backend services.
Understanding of version control tools such as Git.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
1 to 3 years of experience in frontend/UI development.
Demonstrates organizational core competencies and engineering best practices.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on UI/UX quality and performance.
Self-motivated individual with the ability to learn new technologies and take ownership of deliverables.

Ability to work independently as well as within a matrix-based project team structure.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
