The Role
We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) for Gynaecological Oncology in Sweden. In this role, you will play a key role within a cross-functional oncology team, driving the success of our established gynaecological oncology portfolio while supporting the preparation and launch of future innovations. You will work closely with healthcare stakeholders and internal partners to improve patient outcomes, shape account strategies, and ensure successful implementation of innovative treatment solutions across Sweden.
Key Responsibilities
Account leadership & strategy
Lead and execute business operational and strategic account plans to meet/exceed targets.
Identify opportunities and challenges and develop tailored value propositions for various stakeholders in the national oncology ecosystem.
Translate insights into actionable strategies and focused account plans in collaboration with the cross-functional National Tumor Team.
Utilize technology to strengthen our touchpoints regarding customer interactions, find new ways of working with accounts, i.e. AI tools, podcasts, movies, etc.
Stakeholder engagement
Build long-term partnerships with key stakeholders across the oncology ecosystem e.g. gyn oncologists.
Engage credibly with healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
Implement collaborative, value-based solutions that improve patient outcomes.
Launch excellence & execution
Support development and implementation of Nordic and local launch strategies.
Contribute to day 0, national operational plans and cross-functional priorities.
Lead omnichannel engagement in collaboration with the marketing team.
Cross-functional collaboration
Lead & collaborate closely with the cross-functional team & broader organization.
Share deep customer and account insights (in a structured way) with NTT to shape brand and franchise strategies.
Serve as a trusted disease area and product expert internally and externally by continuously maintaining a high level of knowledge.
Compliance
Ensure adherence to all external regulations and internal policies.
Uphold AstraZeneca’s ethical standards in all interactions.
What You Bring
Academic degree (business, science, or healthcare).
Academic degree in health or life sciences (e.g. nurse, pharmacist, biomedical analyst or equivalent) or medical qualification with LIF authorization.
3–5 years of relevant experience with strong sales performance.
Experience as a Strategic or Key Account Manager with proven track record of innovative initiatives improving the patient journey.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to translate scientific and clinical data into value-based dialogue.
Proven strategic thinking, execution, and collaboration skills.
Fluency in Swedish and English.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience in oncology or Gyn disease area is preferred (already built-up network).
Experience and capabilities
Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to catalyse insights and develop and execute tactical plans.
Previous sales experience, such as in a Strategic Account Manager or Key Account Manager role, with a proven track record of successfully managing key accounts.
Proven ability to analyse and communicate scientific information and other relevant data.
Proven track record of engaging and developing lasting relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders in complex clinical environments, such as Oncology.
Demonstrated experience in developing and successfully executing compelling account strategies and tactics.
Experience in Oncology or within the Gyn area, including an established network.
Other capabilities
Ability to implement and leverage an omnichannel approach.
Demonstrates trustworthiness, embraces AZ values, and has a good understanding of ethical codes and relevant compliance rules and policies.
Thorough knowledge of the Oncology ecosystem in Sweden.
