Job Description
1. Procurement Strategy & Leadership
Define and execute the global procurement strategy, aligning it with business objectives and operational needs.
Set vision and goals for procurement transformation, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
Lead cross-functional procurement planning across categories and geographies.
2. Category & Spend Management
Oversee strategic sourcing for direct and indirect categories (e.g. raw materials, IT, marketing, logistics, professional services).
Drive data-driven decision-making through spend analysis and category intelligence.
Ensure spend under management increases year-over-year.
3. Supplier Relationship Management
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers for innovation, performance, and continuity.
Lead supplier selection, onboarding, segmentation, and performance reviews.
Ensure contract compliance, quality standards, and delivery SLAs are met.
4. Cost Optimization & Value Creation
Deliver measurable cost savings, value engineering, and process efficiencies.
Implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models, demand management, and lifecycle cost analysis.
Track procurement’s contribution to company margin and P&L.
5. Technology & Process Improvement
Lead digital transformation of procurement using tools like SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement Cloud, Ivalua.
Automate procurement workflows and improve sourcing, contracting, and payment processes.
Integrate procurement data with ERP and analytics platforms for visibility and control.
6. Risk, Governance & Compliance
Ensure procurement activities comply with internal controls, ethical standards, and global regulatory requirements (e.g., anti-bribery, trade compliance, ESG).
Monitor supplier and geopolitical risks, and create mitigation plans for critical categories.
Implement procurement policies, audit readiness, and control frameworks.
7. Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, supply chain, and business units to align sourcing with enterprise needs.
Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on strategic procurement and vendor investments.
8. Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and mentor global procurement teams, including category managers, buyers, analysts, and operations support.
Promote a performance-driven, agile, and collaborative procurement culture.
Develop internal talent pipeline and succession plans.
