ABAP DEVELOPER

As a member of Zensar's SAP practice, you will work closely with functional consultants, architects, and AI engineering teams to deliver high‑quality ABAP code for S/4HANA landscapes. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end development, integration, and support of RICEFW objects, OData services, and AI‑enabled extensions, ensuring compliance with ATC standards and agile delivery practices.
5‑10 years of hands‑on ABAP development experience, including OOABAP.
Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, CDS, OData, AMDP/HANA SQL.
Strong knowledge of enhancements (BADI, User‑Exits, BTE) and SAP Workflow/Forms.
Experience with SAP ADT, Eclipse, and transport management.
Integration expertise: REST, SOAP, SAP Gateway, BTP integration.
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field; SAP ABAP/S/4HANA certification preferred.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Ability to mentor junior developers and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Exposure to SAP BTP, RAP, and AI‑enabled SAP solutions is a plus.
Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP solutions for SAP S/4HANA.
Create and enhance RICEFW objects (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows).
Build OData services, CDS views, RAP applications and APIs.
Perform code reviews, performance tuning, ATC compliance and unit testing.
Manage transports and support change management.
Develop integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and SAP Gateway.
Work with SAP ADT/Eclipse and modern development tools.
Collaborate with functional consultants, architects and AI engineering teams.
Enable AI‑assisted development via MCP servers and AI copilots.
Provide production support, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
