Role Description The Senior Analytics Engineer (Offshore) will work in a remote, contract capacity to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytic solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, implementing robust data models, and supporting data warehousing initiatives to ensure reliable and performant data infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable data solutions, improve data quality, and enhance reporting and analytics capabilities. The Senior Analytics Engineer will also contribute to best practices, documentation, and performance tuning across the analytics ecosystem.
Must Have
6–8+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics.
Expert-level SQL and Python skills.
Strong hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud).
Deep experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
Strong experience in data modeling, transformation, and analytics-ready data marts.
Experience with Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and Dimensional Modeling.
Experience building modular, tested, version-controlled dbt models.
Strong experience with data quality, automated testing, validation, and data observability.
Experience developing governed metrics, semantic layers, and BI datasets.
Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to build data products and product analytics.
Experience owning the end-to-end data development lifecycle from requirements through production.
Strong documentation skills, including data dictionaries, technical specifications, lineage, and playbooks.
Willingness to work during US business hours (9 AM–2 PM EST core collaboration window).
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for production data issues.
Nice to Have
Experience in the Automotive / Fixed Operations domain, especially service, parts, dealership, and repair-order data.
Experience with AWS and cloud-based data platforms.
Experience building analytics models for Finance, Sales, Orders, Operations, or Product Analytics.
Experience with Snowflake Cortex, Databricks AI, or AWS Bedrock.
Experience preparing feature-ready datasets for ML/AI workflows.
Experience with KNIME for data quality, profiling, cataloging, and governed analytics.
Experience developing reusable dbt macros, packages, and analytics model libraries.
Experience with data contracts, schema evolution, data drift, and freshness monitoring.
Experience supporting API/application-ready data models and embedded analytics.
Experience with product instrumentation, funnels, feature adoption, and usage analytics.
Experience mentoring junior analysts and data engineers.
dbt Analytics Engineering Certification.
SnowPro Core Certification.
Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional.
AWS Certified Data Engineer certification.
