Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Menswear Shirting Print Designer (OTC). The designer will develop original print concepts and patterns specifically for menswear shirting, aligned with market trends and brand aesthetics. Daily responsibilities include creating print artworks, preparing repeat patterns, selecting color palettes, and adapting designs for various fabric bases. The role involves collaborating closely with merchandising, production, and sales teams to translate customer requirements into market-ready designs, while maintaining consistency in quality and brand identity. The designer will also research global menswear trends, prepare design presentations, and support the sampling and bulk production process to ensure accurate execution of print designs.
Qualifications
Strong skills in textile and print design for menswear shirting, including concept development, artwork creation, and repeat layouts.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other relevant CAD tools.
Understanding of fabric types, printing techniques, color theory, and garment construction related to menswear shirts.
Ability to research and interpret fashion trends, market preferences, and customer needs in the menswear segment.
Excellent visual communication, attention to detail, time management, and collaboration skills.
Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Prior experience in fabric or apparel industry, particularly in menswear or shirting, is highly beneficial.
