Role Description As a CAD Product Design Engineering Intern at Chordy.ai, you will support the design and development of hardware and product experiences that complement the company’s conversational AI platform. On a day-to-day basis, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders to translate user needs into CAD models, prototypes, and design concepts, ensuring that physical product elements are intuitive, functional, and user-centric. You will contribute to iterative design processes, assist in design reviews, and help refine product specifications and documentation. This is a contract role based in Bengaluru in a hybrid setup, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
Ability to apply Design Thinking and Product Design skills to define user-centered hardware and product experiences.
Strong UX Research and User Research skills to gather insights, validate assumptions, and inform design decisions.
Proficiency in Visual Design to create clear, appealing, and functional product interfaces and physical design elements.
Foundational CAD skills (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) for 3D modeling, prototyping, and design iteration.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment, with attention to detail and openness to feedback.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid Bengaluru-based team.
Interest in AI-powered products and how hardware can enhance digital experiences is a plus.
