Head of Quality Assurance (Exports) | FMCG/Manufacuting/Pharma

Role Purpose
Lead the Quality & Food Safety function for the export business, ensuring products manufactured across multiple plants meet international quality, food safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Own the overall Quality & Food Safety framework for the export business across multiple plants.
Standardise quality policies, processes and controls for export production.
Ensure compliance with country-specific food safety, quality, labelling and regulatory requirements.
Lead international customer, regulatory and food safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
Drive compliance with FDA, European and other international export regulations.
Ensure export quality standards are implemented within day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Monitor quality performance, deviations, CAPA and continuous improvement across plants.
Ensure country-specific product, packaging, labelling and food safety requirements are clearly implemented at plant level.
Identify quality risks across the export supply chain and establish appropriate controls.
Build capabilities of plant quality teams through training and knowledge sharing.
Develop MIS and dashboards to track quality performance, audits, deviations, compliance and CAPA.
Continuously strengthen the export quality framework as the business expands into new international markets.
Candidate Profile
15+ years of experience in Quality / Food Safety, preferably in a large manufacturing setup.
Strong experience in Food, Beverage, FMCG, Agri-processing or Processed Food manufacturing.
Strong international export exposure with knowledge of country-specific regulations.
Good understanding of FDA, European and other international food safety requirements.
Experience handling international audits and regulatory compliance.
Experience building and improving quality systems, beyond audit management.
Experience working across multiple plants / manufacturing locations.
Experience managing large Quality teams at a senior HOD / Corporate level.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
