Role Description This full-time, on-site Equity Research Analyst | Stock Market Researcher role is based in Bengaluru. The analyst will conduct in-depth fundamental research on Indian listed companies, reviewing financial statements, exchange filings, corporate announcements, and sector data to build clear, unbiased company narratives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining financial models, assessing profitability, growth, risk, and ownership structures, and contributing to stock screening criteria and pre-market reports. The role involves translating complex financial and market information into concise, plain‑English content for EquityTale’s platform, ensuring consistency with the company’s non‑promotional, fact-based approach. The analyst will collaborate with product and content teams to refine research frameworks, improve data presentation, and support new tools and features that enhance investor understanding.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and evaluating business performance.
Candidates should possess Financial Modeling and Finance skills to build valuation models, forecast company performance, and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
Candidates should possess Investments and Research skills to assess company fundamentals, understand market dynamics, and support screening and report generation.
Solid understanding of equity markets, especially Indian listed companies, and familiarity with exchange filings and regulatory disclosures.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in clear, concise language suited for non‑expert audiences.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and analytical tools; experience with data visualization or BI tools is an advantage.
High attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and a strong interest in long‑term investing and capital markets.
