Job Summary
We are looking for a strong and experienced Senior Laravel & Node.js Developer who can independently design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Laravel, Node.js, database optimization, REST API development, third-party integrations, and production issue resolution. The candidate must be capable of understanding business requirements, taking ownership of technical tasks, and delivering high-quality solutions within defined timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Laravel and Node.js.
Develop secure, high-performance REST APIs and backend services.
Work on Laravel MVC architecture, Eloquent ORM, middleware, queues, jobs, events, and service providers.
Develop Node.js applications using modular and maintainable architecture.
Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, authentication systems, and external services.
Optimize application performance, database queries, and API response times.
Work with MySQL, MS SQL, Redis, and other databases as required.
Implement caching, queue processing, logging, error handling, and monitoring.
Identify and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and application failures.
Follow secure coding practices and address VAPT/security recommendations.
Write clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Coordinate with BA, QA, frontend developers, and technical leads.
Understand existing applications and independently handle enhancements and maintenance.
Take ownership of assigned modules and deliver tasks within committed timelines.
Required Technical Skills
Laravel / PHP
4+ years of strong hands-on experience with Laravel.
Excellent knowledge of PHP 8+ and object-oriented programming.
Strong understanding of MVC architecture and Laravel request lifecycle.

Query optimization and database indexing

3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and asynchronous programming.
Experience developing REST APIs using Node.js.

Express.js or equivalent framework

API integrations
Redis and caching
Queue processing
Logging and monitoring

Strong experience with MySQL and/or MS SQL.
Good knowledge of SQL queries, joins, indexes, stored procedures, and execution plans.
Experience with Redis caching and session management.
Understanding of Linux servers, deployment processes, and application configuration.
Knowledge of Git and branching strategies.
API & Security
Strong experience in REST API development and integration.
Knowledge of API authentication, rate limiting, validation, and versioning.
Understanding of security practices such as SQL injection prevention, XSS, CSRF, and secure API handling.
Experience with payment gateway or financial-domain integrations is an advantage.
Understanding of timeout, retry, backoff, circuit breaker, idempotency, and reconciliation is preferred.
