This Position reports to:
Digital Solution Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will coordinate and facilitate the development, implementation, and smooth onboarding of digital solutions. Each day, you will support the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. You will also demonstrate your skills by joining ideation workstreams, from identifying and validating needs through shaping the development plan.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the Automation Digital BU in India Region while the stakeholders are spread across globe
You will be mainly accountable for:
Design, conceptualize, configure, integrate, and implement standard software applications for process control solutions, including interpretation of field instrumentation operational and health diagnostics for functional integration.
Develop and configure Asset Monitors for field instrumentation devices (conditions, sub-conditions, descriptions), including setup of input/output records and parameter mapping.
Collect, pre-process, load, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources; build data models using BI tools and query Industry Cognitive Models/Data Lakes while applying required business logic.
Design and implement intuitive, secure, and scalable reporting/dashboard solutions and analytical web applications aligned with business reporting and analytics needs.
Collaborate with SMEs, customers, and cross-functional teams to architect customer-centric digital solutions, deliver Agile PoCs and final deployments, and contribute industry-specific insights to proposals and value propositions.
Qualifications for the role:
5–7 years of total experience in Control & Instrumentation across process, power, manufacturing, chemical, oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, or related consulting industries, with practical exposure to DCS, Historians, SCADA, and plant instrumentation.
B.Tech/M.Tech in Instrumentation & Control or Electronics Engineering.
Capable of working solo and supervising a small team responsible for DCS, PLC, SIS, and package control system tasks.
Practical experience with DCS platforms (including ABB 800xA), PLCs, configuring field instrumentation, and integrating devices with control systems.
Thorough knowledge of fieldbus topology, device parameterization, commissioning, diagnostics, and communication protocols such as HART, Modbus, and OPC.
Experience in software and hardware design, DCS logic development, graphic builder configuration, library development, functional documentation, and DCS hardware testing.
Clear and effective oral and written communication in English, able to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
