Role Description The Operational Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based at St. John’s Besant Nagar in Chennai. This role is responsible for supporting daily school operations, including coordinating administrative processes, managing schedules, and ensuring smooth functioning of academic and co-curricular activities. The Operational Specialist will track and analyze operational data, assist in implementing process improvements, and support project-based initiatives across departments. The role involves close collaboration with school leadership, teaching staff, and support teams to maintain efficient workflows and a safe, organized campus environment. The Operational Specialist may also assist with stakeholder communications and enrollment or outreach activities as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly with staff, students, families, and external partners.
Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to support admissions, outreach, and engagement initiatives when required.
Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to oversee daily processes, ensure compliance with school policies, and optimize resource use.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, coordinate, and deliver operational projects within timelines and budgets.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Education Administration, or a related field are preferred.
Experience in educational institutions or service-oriented organizations, and proficiency with office productivity tools and basic data reporting, will be beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively, maintain high ethical standards, and adapt to a dynamic school environment is essential.
