Founding Engineer / Head of Engineering – RAYY

RAYY is building a technology-led discovery and booking platform for learning, sports, fitness, activities and experiences across age groups.
We are now looking for a senior, hands-on technology leader who can take complete ownership of the product and technology at RAYY.
This is not a conventional corporate technology leadership role. We are looking for someone who enjoys building, solving difficult problems, questioning existing architecture and shipping products fast.
You will work directly with the Founder and leadership team to significantly improve our existing product, strengthen the technology architecture and help build RAYY into a scalable consumer-tech platform.
What you will own
• Take end-to-end ownership of RAYY’s technology and product engineering
• Review the existing product, architecture and codebase and identify what needs to be improved or rebuilt
• Personally contribute to development and remain deeply hands-on with engineering
• Build scalable booking, scheduling, payments, availability and partner-management systems
• Improve product performance, reliability, security and user experience
• Work closely with Product, Business and Marketing teams to convert ideas into shipped features
• Integrate AI and automation wherever it can materially improve the RAYY experience
• Establish strong engineering practices, development processes and release cycles
• Build and mentor the technology team as RAYY scales
• Take ownership of both RAYY's consumer platform and RAYY Studio

Who we are looking for
• Ideally 6–12+ years of strong software/product engineering experience
• Experience building and scaling consumer internet, marketplace, SaaS or transactional products
• Strong understanding of system architecture, backend, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure
• Comfortable working across frontend, backend and mobile environments
• Someone who can architect systems but is equally comfortable opening the codebase and building
• Strong product thinking — not someone who looks at technology in isolation
• Experience working in fast-moving startups or building products from 0→1 / 1→10 will be highly valued
• Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Staff/Principal Engineers and former founders/CTOs who want to return to hands-on building are encouraged to apply
