SENIOR MANAGER – INDIAN LEGAL & REGULATORY AFFAIRS

We are looking for a sharp, commercially aware and hands-on lawyer who can move comfortably between
contracts, regulatory matters, clients, government authorities, JV and technology partners, while maintaining
strong legal discipline and sound judgement.
This is not a Head Legal position. It is a high-visibility execution role within an established senior Legal &
Compliance structure, with substantial opportunity to grow as the organisation expands.
THE MANDATE
commercial contracts, NDAs, MoUs and obligation management;
licensing, regulatory applications, approvals and compliance tracking;
corporate governance, entity documentation and statutory coordination;
GST, customs, export and transaction-structure legal interfaces;
JV, technology-transfer, IP and licensing arrangements;
cross-border commercial and international legal matters;
client, OEM, technology-partner and institutional negotiations;
government, regulatory and licensing-authority coordination;
employment, expatriate and executive legal support;
disputes, arbitration/mediation support and external counsel management; and
legal due diligence, investor documentation and controlled legal records.
The role may require domestic and international travel for negotiations, regulatory matters, partner, discussions, due diligence and JV/technology transactions.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will typically have:
1. 3–5 years of substantive PQE;
2. an LL.B. / integrated Indian law degree or equivalent recognised qualification;
3. strong commercial drafting and legal-research capability;
4. hands-on experience with corporate, contractual or regulatory matters;
5. confidence dealing with clients and senior stakeholders;
6. the ability to understand unfamiliar regulatory frameworks quickly; and
7. the judgement to know what you can close independently and what requires senior escalation.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure, technology, energy, aerospace or another
regulated industry is valuable, but capability matters more than sector labels. Cross-border contracts,
regulatory authorities, JVs, technology licensing, arbitration, exports or international counterparties would be particularly useful.
