Technical Manager (ISO/IEC 17065)

POST: TECHNICAL MANAGER ( FOR ISO/IEC 17065) as Review and Decision authority
Education: Postgraduate/ Graduate in Engineering
(Desirable: B.tech /B.E (Electrical & Electronics)
Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in Conformity assessment bodies
(Desirable: Experience in either a Testing lab as ISO/IEC 17025 or a Certification body as per ISO/IEC 17065 as final technical decision authority.)
Location- Gurugram
Salary Package- between 05-07 LPA
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Training on ISO/IEC 17065 and ISO/IEC 17025
2. Knowledge of certification Scheme as per ISO/IEC 17067
3. Working knowledge of Safety & EMC standards for Electrical/Electronic/Telecom products (Mandatory)
4. Experience in reviewing EMC/RF test reports; Safety reports as per IEC 62368 and IEC 60335 series
5. Knowledge of SASO technical regulation and certification process
6. Technical understanding of testing methods for chemical testing and product comes under construction; building materials, machinery, and mechanical.
7. Knowledge of applicable testing standards for chemical, machinery, and mechanical.
8. Knowledge of product classification, intended use, and its technical specifications
9. Must be able to work with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages.
10. An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints
11. Excellent team management/leadership skills
12. Knowledge of Indian Compliance- BIS- CRS, ISI, BEE, TEC testing requirements
Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for Certification decision authority for a final decision;
2. Represent the certification team as a technical team during external audits by regulatory;
3. Also reviewing the product’s compliance evaluation results and initiate action when deviations are observed;
4. Selection, approval & implementation of technical regulations & schemes;
5. Responsible for technical validity of compliance of product;
6. Identification and evaluation of compliance engineer competency during selection and on-job project;
7. Identifying training needs, and providing training to engineer (s) for enhancing their skills along with performing evaluation of training;
8. Technical analysis, interpretation, and conclusion of results;
9. Responsible for the technical enhancement of scope;
10. Provide guidelines for new methodologies, and technical regulations adopted from time to time by management;
11. Provide technical assistance as and when needed by the compliance engineer;
12. Identification & preparation of protocols according to technical regulations and standards;
13. Ensure proper technical documents as per requirements of ISO/IEC 17065;
14. Approving authority for certification protocol and certification scheme;
15. Any other work assigned by the top management.
